The Russ are Masters of about a fifth part of it, the rest is possessed by the Swedes: this Lake receives, besides a vast number of Rivers, the Waters of the Lake of Onega; which lies about sixty English Miles from it to the East, and is not much less than it; it transmits all these Waters into the Bay of Finland, by the River of Spasco, a Passage of about eleven German Miles.</blockquote>
