If you read articles and found something unusual (like descriptions or even coordinates of a lost city) check Sources from the old books on the bottom of the articles. Welcome to the World in the late XVII century.
This database was started with the purpose of creating a screenshot of the World in the late 17th Century. The method to do this is collecting articles from old atlases and books, looking at maps, ignoring all sources of present days. Putting different chapters of dozens of book into different articles with hyperlinks is going to made your analyze much easier. The results I hope we get is the POV of a person from the late 17th.
I wish my work will help you with your historical interrogations. Appreciate for your donations (not set up yet).
Famous pages: Tartaria, Cathay, The Turkish Empire...
Also in work: Toponymy, Money, Rivers
Have started to add maps and pictures. It takes a lot of my after work time.
If you read articles and found something unusual (like descriptions or even coordinates of a lost city) check Sources from the old books on the bottom of the articles. If confirmed, found non-OCR pdf of original texts. Also, find HD or buy old maps. Check a dozen times before buying a shovel and starting to dig. :-)
